I am in the market for a tractor. I have done alot of reseach and have come to Kioti LB 1914 or the CK20.The Kioti seems to be more affordable and seem to be built at least as good or better then the JD 2210 and the Kubota bx2200. The HST transmission shows a loss of Hp compared to the manual type . My questions are wheather I should go with the HST or manual and weather other snowbowers will work on the Kioti since the don't make one. Thanks, Jim

Rear snowblowers to run off the 3 point hitch would be avalible.
If your planning to run a snowblower the CK20 with hydro may be better for the live PTO.
The CK 20 manual and the 1914 are listed as transmission driven PTO.
I have read where live PTO is better for snowblowing so when you stop the tractor the blower continues to run preventing it from clogging. ....

The J-D and Kubota models are not really a good comparisson for the LB or CK. Both the J-D and Kubota are much smaller and lighter than the LB or CK. The Kubota comp would be the B7500 , J-D would be the 4100.
KO ....

The 2210 was a little more expensive then the bx2200 and the lb1914 and the Kioti cheaper still so I was comparing by price as well as specs and the Kioti just blew the other two away that is why I was asking about Kioti, it seems too good to be true. ....

All hst trannies loose some pto effiency, but it is a trade off for ease of use. I've not seen the actual specs on the Kioti yet,but most hst losses are in the 1 to 1.5 hp range over gear drives. Which is not really all that much in the real world, even though the stats might say different! ....
